student loans
Based on the information I’ve learned about student loan debt, I plan to personally avoid accumulating excessive debt by being proactive in my approach to education. First, I will prioritize applying for scholarships and grants, which do not require repayment, and explore work-study opportunities to earn money while attending school. I’ll also consider attending a community college for my first two years to save on tuition costs, then transfer to a four-year institution, which can significantly lower overall expenses. Additionally, I’ll be mindful of my spending, living frugally, and avoiding unnecessary expenses. Finally, I will work part-time throughout my studies to help cover living costs and tuition. By being financially responsible, planning ahead, and seeking out all available resources, I aim to minimize my student loan debt and avoid entering the workforce burdened by financial strain.
