 Today we wrote a paragraph that was an argument for or against social media effecting teenagers. I chose that it effects teens negatively due to its effects on mental health.

 Today we continued vocabulary paper. I had already completed the paper the class before so it was a pretty chill class

 today in class we continued learning about arguments. we had a paper that had a few arguments that we read on a newsela article. Our task was to read identify claims and explain them 

 today in class we did a vocabulary list on google slides. these vocabulary words will help us express our arguments better .

 Today in class we read and analyzed poem called we real cool. The poem talks about teenagers that jumped straight into adulthood by making big decisions that would impact them in the future.

 Today in class we read an article about 3 year bachelors programs. We were supposed to find claims and identify what kind of claims they are 

 Today in class we practices making claims based on prompts given in class. This activity was useful as it taught us how to express the three elements.

 Today in class we learned about evidence . We took notes on how to create credible evidence. The steps to create credible evidence are experiences observations and readings.

 we learned how to create claims. This lesson is helpful in the future as we will need to create claims to have successful arguments.

 we did a bench mark test. I found this test kinda easy and kinda hard as the test questions wording tricked me sometimes.

 we learned how to write arguments. I felt like this lesson relates alot to real life as every conversation is an arguement

 Today in class we learned about the elements of rhetoric. We learned how to identify them in advertisements.
