Today in class we peer reviewed our essays. My partner and i had a great session. With the notes she gave me i revised my essay.

when I shop, I do tend to check where products come from, especially when it comes to items that are important to me, like clothing or electronics. I’ve become more conscious of the impact that buying locally made products can have, both on the economy and on supporting fair labor practices. I would be willing to pay more for something made in the U.S. if I felt that the quality was higher and if I knew that the company was treating its workers fairly and maintaining sustainable practices. However, it would depend on the product itself and my budget. For instance, if the difference in price wasn’t significant and the quality was comparable, I’d definitely choose the American-made option. On the other hand, if the price difference was too steep and I felt the imported product offered the same value, I’d have to weigh it carefully. How would you feel if your privacy was invaded online or on your phone? Do you think privacy is a basic civil liberty?

 Prompt response: If my privacy was invaded online or on my phone, I would feel violated and vulnerable, as it compromises my personal space and security. I believe privacy is a fundamental civil liberty because it allows individuals to maintain control over their personal information and decisions. Without privacy, people would be unable to express themselves freely or live without fear of surveillance or exploitation. a time where you had speak in front of an audience

 prompt: I once had to give a presentation in front of a large audience, and I was terrified of forgetting my lines and stumbling. To manage my fear, I prepared thoroughly, practiced in front of friends, and focused on staying calm with deep breaths. My advice to someone struggling with stage fright would be to practice as much as possible, focus on the message rather than the fear, and remember that nerves are normal and can be used as energy to stay focused.
